GSEB conducted SSC examination for the students who study under various schools affiliated under the board of Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. The exam was taken as part of the responsibility of the board as the board organizes this exam every year to promote the students to the next level by judging their performance in various subjects in the Secondary level. The examination was taken from 8th March to 17th March in which more than 10 lac students from various district appeared in the exam. The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) was formed on 1 May 1960. It conducts all school level exam. The main academic task of GSEB is the preparation of syllabus for secondary schools and also the recommendation of text-books to be taught in government schools.
