Information About NEET Exam

NEET is known as National Eligibility Entrance Test, which is organized and managed by the CBSE. NEET is structured for those students who wants to get entrance in different medical courses (BDS/ MBBS) offered by prestigious medical colleges in the India. There are two phases of National Eligibility Entrance Test, NEET Phase I and NEET Phase II. We are providing details regarding NEET Phase II 2016.
NEET phase II eligibility criteria
Students who want to participate in NEET phase 2 should meet the eligibility criteria, which are:
  • Students should possess 12th class in the streams of biology, chemistry, and physics.
  • Age limit for NEET examination is 17 to 25 years for general category and 30 years for SC / ST / OBC.
  • The application fee is Rs. 1400/- (Changes in fee could happen).
  • NEET Phase I students can also apply for the NEET phase II, but they need to terminate the candidature for AIPMT.
  • Online applications will be started most likely by the end of the May.
  • NEET II examination date is 24th July 2016 (Not fixed)
  • Fill application form for NEET phase II and follow the instructions for online application submission

  • Total exam is conducted for 720 marks

NEET phase II syllabus

NEET have not declared syllabus as of now. Students have prepared for the state level entrance examination, and now they are preparing for national level entrance examination for the medical field. We can understand that students must be worried about their preparation, syllabus, examination dates. Students should stay calm and do your hard work which can lead you to success for your goal.
NCERT will be announcing syllabus for NEET Phase 2. Candidates are requested to check NEET phase II syllabus and cover the topics which are left in the previous examination syllabus of AIPMT. The pattern for NEET II examination will be the same as AIPMT examination. Candidates should feel good as there is no weight age on their marks in 12th class exams only NEET phase 2 score will be taken into consideration. Candidates who will score between 300 to 330 marks that will be acknowledged as qualifying persons for next level of selection which is counseling but cut off marks will change as per candidate’s performance.

NEET Phase 2 Notification

After conducting NEET examination board will declare the result then they will declare the result national wise and state rank. As of now AIPMT has given the quota of 15% for all the states except Telangana and Jammu Kashmir, AP. This year there might be changes in this number.
Supreme Court passed an order that for admission in medical colleges, students need to qualify common entrance examination in India and now the state will not conduct entrance examination for admissions into medical. To get admission in medical, every Student has to compete and qualify NEET examination. As Supreme Court order’s on 1st May 2016, CBSE has conducted AIPMT exam and which now will be called as NEET phase 1. As Supreme Court passes the order that students who had written phase 1 exam are not eligible for Phase II, but now it has been declared on 9th May that students of phase 1 will also be eligible to participate in Phase II. So students can now pay attention to their preparation without any worry.

NEET 2 Exam Pattern

  • Examination will be conducted on the following subjects i.e. Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, and, Physics
  • Each subject carries 45 questions
  • 4 marks for every right answer and 1 negative mark for every wrong answer
  • Examination duration is 3 hours
  • Total marks examination holds is 720
